A few months ago, our 1999 Ford Taurus started running rough. Initially, I thought of spark plugs and engine tune-up. We did a few things, got it running slightly better, but for the last couple months it has still wanted to die whenever it idles, with the exception of a cold-start, when it would rev the engine to about 3k rpm for a minute or two. I began to suspect a vacuum leak…
Yesterday we dropped it off at Red Rock Automotive. Today, they looked at it, found two vacuum leaks, one of which needed a hose clamp. Total damages, around $67.00.
Glad it’s done! Wish we’d taken it in sooner! 😉
